PERAN KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU PEMBELAJARAN DI SMP NEGERI BUMI MAKMUR

Abstrak

This study aims to determine: (1) How is the principal's leadership in improving the quality of learning at SMP Negeri Bumi Makmur (2) What are the obstacles to the principal's leadership in improving the quality of learning in schools (3) What are the efforts of the principal in improving the quality of learning in schools. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, the data collected through the methods of observation, interviews, documentation, triangulation, and analyzed by descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The principal's leadership in improving the quality of learning at SMP Negeri Bumi Makmur is quite good. The principal is motherly, skilled in communication and easy to get along with others, firm and democratic. (2) Obstacles to the principal's leadership in improving the quality of learning are limited teachers and education personnel and inadequate learning facilities not good. (3) The principal's efforts to improve the quality of learning at SMP Negeri Bumi Makmur are increasing teacher professionalism, supervising and motivating teachers and education staff.
