Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected by selecting idioms from both texts and then analyzed using Fernando’s lexical idiom taxonomy and Baker and Newmark’s translation strategies. The results indicate that semi-idioms, which combine literal and figurative meanings, appear most frequently in the source text. This presents a challenge for translators to find appropriate equivalents in the target language. The analysis found that the paraphrasing strategy is most commonly used, reflecting a tendency to maintain the idiomatic meaning intact by providing a descriptive narration. This study underscores the importance of understanding the cultural and contextual nuances of both languages to achieve accurate and natural translations. Appropriate translation strategies can help preserve the meaning and nuances of idioms from the source language to the target language. There is a difference in learning achievement before and after implementing literacy-based thematic textbooks with a contextual approach for students. This study aims to determine the quality and relevance of the content used in the teaching and learning process. The method employed in this research is qualitative descriptive method by analyzing the content and describing data regarding the suitability of A1 level material based on the CECRL assessment in the textbook "S’il Vous Plaît". The analysis results of the "S’il Vous Plaît" textbook indicate that it is 90% suitable based on the Lopez analysis theory. The research approach used in this research is a quantitative approach, with a research design, namely a quasi experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used in this research is nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling. This sampling technique was used based on the researcher's considerations. The samples chosen were class X Science 2 as the experimental class and class X Science 3 as the control class. The instruments used in this research are observation, tests and documentation. Data analysis used in this research is by carrying out normality tests, influence tests and hypothesis tests. The results of this research show that there is a significant influence in the use of the IOC learning model on students' biographical text writing skills. This can be seen from the average value of the experimental class which is higher than the control class. The average pretest score for students in the experimental class was 55.83 which increased to 80.42 in the posttest. PGRI 2 Karawang Academic Year 2023/2024. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The design of this research is non-equivalent post-test only control group design. The population of this study was all class X students at SMK PGRI 2 Karawang, totaling 286 students. The samples for this research were class X TKJ 1, totaling 34 people and class X TKJ 2 students, totaling 34 people. The data collection method is carried out using a test method, namely with a test instrument (description). The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistical analysis techniques, namely the t-test. The results of this research show that there is a significant difference in the results of the writing skills of students who use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by ChitChop media and students who use the conventional learning model (lecture). Based on the overall results of the students' answers, it can be seen that the increase that occurred in the control class of students' scores between the pre-test and post-test increased from an average score of 49.12 when the pre-test increased to 64.26, and in the experimental class there was an increase. from an average score of 64.41 during the pre-test to 78.53 during the post-test. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan metode deskripsi kualitatif dengan teknik pengambilan data <em>purposive sampling</em>. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kartu data mengacu pada teori Machali (2009), serta teori Nababan, Nuraeni, dan Sumardiono (2012). Analisis data menerapkan metode padan dengan teknik dasar pilah unsur penentu. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap 100 data yang dijadikan sampel, ditemukan 4 jenis prosedur penerjemahan transposisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan pragmatis. Data penelitian berupa dialog tokoh dalam bentuk transkripsi bahasa Jawa yang diterjemahkan dalam bahasa Indonesia. Sumber data penelitian berupa; tujuh dokumentasi file video live Streaming cuplikan cerita wayang kulit bagian dialog punakawan Togog dan Bilung. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian berupa pedoman pencatatan dokumen teks lisan. Analisis data menggunakan langkah-langkah deskriptif pragmatis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam cerita Wayang kulit, bagian dialog Punakawan Togog dan Bilung, versi Ki Dalang Seno Nugroho, memiliki dimensi pesan moral, mencakup (1) dimensi perhatian, meliputi nilai kebersamaan dan empati, (2) dimensi pertimbangan, meliputi nilai kesabaran dan keselamatan, dan (3) dimensi tindakan berkenaan dengan nilai ketentraman. Communication features in multiplayer online games often involve verbal violence, especially against female players who are considered to have less playing skills than male players. This study uses qualitative data obtained through interviews and FGDs, which were analyzed using NVIVO. This study shows that patronizing and criticizing behavior is common among FF players. Verbal violence results in changes in player behavior. The main aim of this research is to identify the narrative and meaning of umpasa and umpama in Toba Batak marriages. This research uses a qualitative approach, by observing, analyzing the process, and interpreting umpasa and umpama at the Toba tribe's traditional wedding which has been chosen by the author. The results of the research show that the Toba Batak tribe's traditional wedding ceremonies advise using spoken language consisting of umpasa and umpama. For example, atang - lutung Tarida i Pangkona means authority. For example, there are more forms of proverbs than umpasa as poetic expressions. Salah satu solusi yang ditawarkan adalah menggunakan metode fonik berbantuan fuzzle. Melalui penggunaan metode ini, diharapkan terjadi peningkatan keterampilan membaca permulaan pada siswa. Jenis penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini dilakukan dengan model Kurt Lewin. Terdiri dari dua siklus, tindakan dilakukan dalam empat tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, penilaian, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar pada keterampilan membaca permulaan peserta didik dengan metode fonik berbantuan fuzzle menunjukkan peningkatan pada aspek ketuntasan belajar peserta didik di setiap siklus. Misalnya, pada siklus I, 21 peserta didik mencapai KKM dengan prosentase 75%, nilai rata-rata 71,25, dan pada siklus II, 24 peserta didik mencapai KKM dengan prosentase 86%, nilai rata-rata 73,04%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pada aspek ketuntasan belajar peserta didik di setiap siklus. The method used in this research utilizes a qualitative approach, where the data used is in the form of geguritan so that the results are in the form of phrases, words, or sentences. The theory used is the theory of feminism proposed by Lori Jo Marso which states that the demands of feminism depend on the situation and conditions. The results of this study show that the socio-cultural environmental conditions taught in SSW rely on the teachings of the kraton that a woman wants to do, where a woman plays a role as a child, wife, and mother. As a child obeying parents, behaving well, making parents happy and not favoring himself. As a wife, she respects her husband with gentle words, reminds each other, and respects her husband because he is the teacher in the household.
